"Communion"
Creating a universe around my ITIOM pieces has been a slow process. I find myself stretched a bit thin in everything I'm trying to do with my art and otherwise. What I've been envisioning in the story line is a period of revolution and conflict set in a modern era that ultimately leads to collapse. This time period becomes known as "The Shift Wars." From the ashes of modern society arises new tribes, cultures, and society's, many of which are more primitive, having lost decades of modern progress.
This most recent piece is of a character in the post-collapse era. She is a part of a "blue" seaside tribe.
I'll leave the rest to the imagination for now! I'll be continuing to build art, characters, and details in both time periods.

8.11.19 Update - Unworthy of Stars
8.11.19 Update
With my recent ITIOM pieces I've developed more of a narrative to some of my abstract ideas and concepts.
The in-progress storyline involves a shift in the way we experience and interact with the world in which thoughts, emotions, and energy are more immediately and tangibly manifested into reality. When this shift occurs some call it The Apocalypse, some call it The Enlightenment, and some simply call it The Shift. The name they give it reflects how they experience it.
The shift doesn't occur all at once, but accelerates over time. When individuals cross the threshold of being able to interact with the world in this new way they call it their "Awakening".
“Awakening”
The first to experience this awakening have to wrestle with its meaning, with their inner demons, and in some cases their own sanity. Many choose to keep it behind closed doors in fear of how it might affect their lives. Gradually, they find each other.
“If You Show Me Yours First”
Out of this shift comes wonderful and terrible things of our own making, some willingly, and some out of an inability to control one's mind. These things have to be faced by ourselves and those around us.
“Expulsion”
What happens from here is what was already happening, but at a more rapid pace; the collective consciousness of humanity deciding where they are heading as a species. My latest piece (Unworthy of Stars) paints a picture of self-destruction, rather than advancement in the universe. But this isn't a reality that has to be manifested.
